The Panhellenic Association of Manual Physiotherapists
P.A.M.P. (Panhellenic Association of Manual Physiotherapists) refers to all members of the Panhellenic Organisation of Physiotherapists (PSF) interested is specialising in identifying and dealing with problems of the musculoskeletal system.
P.A.M.P. in collaboration with Kaltenborn – Evjenth Concept organises seminars according to its curriculum already approved by IFOMT (Internation Federation of Manual Therapists).
The Method
The Kaltenborn – Evjenth Concept is one of the leading methods in the manual therapy field and aims at the rehabilitation of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Since 1954 (Nordic system) Professor Freddy Kaltenborn developed techniques of intra – articullar mobilization later on completed and refined by soft tissue mobilization techniques.
The Kaltenborn – Evjenth Concept
The Kaltenborn – Evjenth Concept includes techniques of intra – articullar mobilization, energetic techniques again elasticity loss of contractable tissues and uses techniques based on neuromuscular function of control and muscular balance.
It constitutes possibly the only school of orthopaedic therapy giving great emphasis on stabilization of hyperkinetic joint or parts of the musculoskeletal system.
The method constitutes a global approach of musculoskeletal system dysfunctions.
P.A.M.P. according to its curriculum adapts its seminars to new developments in the field of manual therapy utilising new concepts and techniques.

Historical Background
Seminars of manual therapy were organised for the first time in 1993 in Chania, Crete – Greece where Freddy Kaltenborn was the first instructor. Until this day quite a few of the participants have completed the training and were awarded the O.M.T. Diploma (Orthopaedic Manual Therapist Diploma) while for others this process is still going on. Today a large number of our colleagues that have reached the M.T. (Manual Therapist) level, the considerable number of O.M.T. therapists and the rest of the colleagues having acquired MsCs and PhDs in the field of Manual Therapy leads manual therapy to a collective and better organised future in our country. Panhellenic Association of Manual Physiotherapists was founded for that purpose.

P.A.M.P. was founded in 12/12/2003 by physiotherapists, all members of the Panhellenic Organisation of Physiotherapy (PSF) who have completed the O.M.T. (Orthopaedic Manual Therapy) or have completed postgraduate or doctorate studies on manual therapy.
